Download the Siri Pro shortcut. The below page will get opened.
Obtain the ChatGPT API key from your OpenAI account by logging in and navigating to the API keys page. Click “Create new secret key” to generate the copy that key.
Step –
To obtain the ChatGPT API key from your OpenAI account, you’ll need to follow the steps below:
- Go to the OpenAI website (https://openai.com/) and log in to your account.
- Once you’re logged in, navigate to the API keys page. You can do this by clicking on your username at the top right-hand corner of the screen and selecting “API Keys” from the dropdown menu.
- On the API keys page, you’ll see any existing API keys you may have already created. To generate a new API key, click on the “Create new secret key” button.
- You’ll be asked to give your API key a name for identification purposes. Enter a name that will help you easily recognize what the API key is for. For example, you could name it “ChatGPT API Key”.
- Once you’ve given your API key a name, click on the “Create” button. This will generate your new ChatGPT API key.
- Your new API key will be displayed on the page. It’s important to note that this key is secret and should not be shared with anyone. Make sure to copy the key and keep it in a safe place. You won’t be able to see the key again once you leave this page.
Open the Siri Shortcuts app on your iPhone.
4. Find and select the Siri Pro shortcut that you downloaded earlier.
In the shortcut, tap on the “Get API Key” action and paste your ChatGPT API key.
Steps –
- First, open the shortcut that you want to use that requires the ChatGPT API key.
- Look for the “Get API Key” action in the shortcut. This action is usually placed at the beginning of the shortcut and it is responsible for retrieving the API key from the user.
- Tap on the “Get API Key” action to bring up the API key input prompt.
- Paste your ChatGPT API key into the input prompt. To do this, you can either long-press the screen and select “Paste” or use the keyboard’s paste button if it’s available.
- Once you’ve pasted the API key, tap on the “Done” button to close the input prompt.
- Your API key is now set up and the shortcut is ready to use.
You can also change the “Ask for” text which will be prompt while it is in action like in the below picture as we have changed it to – “How can I help you ?”
Steps –
- Open the shortcut that you want to customize.
- Look for the “Get API Key” action in the shortcut.
- Tap on the action to bring up the input prompt.
- Tap on the “Ask for” field to edit the default prompt.
- Type in the new prompt that you want to use. In this case, you can type “How can I help you?” or any other text that you prefer.
- Once you’ve entered the new prompt, tap on the “Done” button to save the changes.
8. You can rename the shortcut, in my case we changed it to “Siri Pro”.
Steps –
- Open the Shortcuts app on your iOS device.
- Find the shortcut that you want to rename in the list of shortcuts.
- Tap and hold on the shortcut until a menu appears.
- Select “Details” from the menu.
- Tap on the existing name of the shortcut at the top of the screen.
- Use the keyboard to type in the new name for the shortcut. For example, you can name it “Siri Pro” or any other name that you prefer.
- Tap “Done” to save the new name.
Speak your message or question, and ChatGPT will provide a response that Siri will read back to you.
You can ask a question to Siri Pro by writing first time
It will ask you to allow to connect with api.openai.com, just allow it.
Siri will speak the response back to you.
